Looks like Carl S. Peterson arrived in New York USA on March 5, 1929. He would have been 24 years old. He arrived upon the ship Gripsholm.

MS Gripsholm was an ocean liner, built in 1925 by Armstrong, Whirthworth & Company in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England for the Swedish American Line for use in transatlantic traffic from Gothenburg to New York. From 1927 onwards she was used as a cruise ship alongside transatlantic crossings.

House Grandpa (Carl S. Peterson) Grew up in

This is the house in Little Idehult, Sweden that Grandpa (Carl Simon Bertil Petersson) grew up in. Dad (C. Don Peterson) told me that the house is now an Old Folks Home (Nursing Home).
